Verrutop is a solution that can be applied directly to a verruca or a wart by a qualified healthcare professional. This is a Nitrizinc acid solution; and is mild enough to not cause damage to the surrounding skin. This treatment needs to be applied every 1-2 weeks, for a between 4-8 sessions. At each appointment, your podiatrist will debride the hard skin that is over the top of the verruca, and then apply the product directly to the affected area(s). You will need to keep the area uncovered, and then will need to apply surgical spirit 1-2 times a day. It is important to keep the verruca as dry as possible to ensure a satisfactory result.

As with any verruca treatment, there is not a 100% success rate, although we typically find between 80-90% success rate.

The benefit of Verrutop over Swift is that it can be applied to children of a younger age, as there is typically only minimal discomfort from this treatment, although there may be some stinging after it is applied.

Verrutop treatment can start at an initial appointment, and each Verrutop treatment is charged on a ‘pay as you go’ basis, at £44 per session.
